Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, April 2014

As part of the New Year, I have promised myself to not only write more but to also share more of the pictures I am constantly taking. I am very lucky to have the chance to go on many types of adventures and love to document them with my camera. I just need to work on organizing my memories which will involve a bit of back tracking! So here we go…

I will start with last April. My boyfriend and I decided to head to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico to take some time off from our busy schedules. (He also wanted to escape for his 30th birthday!) We stayed at an all inclusive resort, The Royal, and had an ocean view room where we could watch the pelicans dive into the water. (Amazing!) We spent the days in the sun, swam in the pool and the Caribbean, drank tropical drinks, ate amazing food, read books, and just relaxed. It was just what we needed.

For Rob’s birthday I made him a mini piñata which contained his birthday surprise. I put in pieces of “confetti” with Florida Georgia Line lyrics on them and a note that we were going to see FGL and Jason Aldean in August. We spent the day relaxing and then had a very special dinner at the restaurant called Chef’s Plate. Every night the restaurant features a different five course meal and it was some of the most amazing food I have ever had.

This was my first time on a tropical trip like this and it was so much fun yet so relaxing.

As I sit here typing this I am bundled up in layers, covered in a blanket, and would give anything to be laying on the beach again. Ah, memories.
